Homan Adds Details About ICE Operation That Ignited L.A. Riots
White House border czar Tom Homan has revealed concerning new information regarding recent ICE raids that incited violent disturbances in Los Angeles and various other U.S. cities. Homan countered assertions made by California Governor Gavin Newsom and other state officials, who attributed the riots to the deployment of National Guard troops. According to Homan, the unrest commenced on Friday, when federal agents executing operations in L.A.’s fashion district were assaulted with rocks, hammers, and fireworks. At one point, agents found themselves confined within a federal building by an aggressive crowd.
During an appearance on Dr. Phil Primetime, Homan affirmed that the raids were part of a larger federal investigation into businesses linked to cartels operating within the U.S. He elaborated that a targeted warehouse and retail outlet were under suspicion for customs fraud, income tax evasion, and laundering millions of dollars for cartels based in Mexico and Colombia. Although Homan refrained from disclosing the specific cartel involved, he stressed that this operation was merely one component of a more extensive inquiry into transnational criminal networks. On Friday night alone, federal agents detained 45 undocumented immigrants during seven coordinated raids throughout Los Angeles. Among those apprehended was a previously deported Mexican national with convictions for homicide and burglary.
