Niabi zoo offering refuge to confiscated animals

Wildlife Services.

It’s goal is to allow refuge to animals confiscated at the US borders due to illegal or abusive private ownership.

In some cases it could be that paperwork was not correct, or certificates need to be updated.

Niabi Zoo is offering “Chain of Custody” housing for animals, in some cases, that need temporary care while criminal investigations proceed.

“Sometimes we can talk about the animals coming through. Sometimes we can’t. Currently, all animals taken in under these circumstances have remained in Niabi’s care.
