Jeanine Pirro Announces First Criminal Sentences As DC Prosecutor
Former Fox News anchor Jeanine Pirro commenced her temporary position as U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia by revealing the sentencing of two individuals involved in a drive-by shooting near a D.C. elementary school.
Rasheed Mullins, aged 27, was sentenced to 90 months, while Josiah Warfield, aged 24, received a sentence of 100 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release. Both individuals had entered guilty pleas for assault with intent to murder.
Additionally, Pirro’s office announced the indictment of Te’Vaughn Brown, aged 20, for felony assault.
Her appointment comes after Senator Thom Tillis obstructed the previous nominee due to concerns related to the events of January 6.Fox News extended their best wishes to Pirro, while Alina Habba is under consideration as her successor on The Five.
