Trump Riding Wave Into Summer Amid String Of Victories

President Donald Trump is experiencing a wave of momentum following the signing of his $3.3 trillion “big, beautiful bill” on Friday—culminating a series of significant achievements for his administration in recent weeks.

The bill’s approval comes after a succession of prominent victories, such as a favorable ruling from the Supreme Court and successful precision strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, as reported by Fox News.

“President Trump has provided more victories for the American populace in just two weeks than most Presidents accomplish in four years,” stated White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt in a Thursday announcement to Fox News Digital.

“These past two weeks have been the most historic of any Administration in history. Thanks to President Trump, America is revitalized and is the most sought-after country in the world!” she continued.

The tax and domestic policy bill arrived at Trump’s desk after the House approved its final version on Thursday—fulfilling his self-imposed deadline to finalize the legislation by the Fourth of July.

The bill includes several essential provisions, such as the permanent extension of individual and business tax cuts that were initially established under Trump’s 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Additionally, it introduces new deductions aimed at eliminating taxes on tips and overtime compensation.

One of the more contentious aspects is a $5 trillion increase to the debt ceiling—a decision that has faced criticism from individuals like SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Moreover, the legislation reverses several green energy tax credits from the Biden administration and allocates approximately $350 billion towards defense spending and Trump’s extensive deportation initiative targeting illegal immigration, as noted by Fox.

The measure also implements significant reforms to Medicaid, including a new stipulation that recipients must work at least 80 hours per month. It further broadens work requirements for those receiving benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Trump has also achieved several other significant victories.

On June 21, the United States initiated airstrikes aimed at significant Iranian nuclear facilities, utilizing over 125 U.S. aircraft, as reported by Gen. Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

In a national address following the strikes, President Trump asserted that the nuclear sites had been “completely and totally obliterated.” General Dan Caine further noted that initial assessments of battle damage revealed that “all three sites sustained extremely severe damage and destruction.”

“We have degraded their program by one to two years, at least according to intelligence assessments within the Department (of Defense),” Defense Department spokesman Sean Parnell informed reporters on Wednesday.

Trump has also achieved several legal victories.

On June 27, the Supreme Court ruled 6–3 to prevent lower courts from issuing universal injunctions. Numerous executive orders from President Trump during his second term—including his prohibition on birthright citizenship—had been hindered by such nationwide rulings.

The Supreme Court’s ruling restricts lower courts to issuing broad injunctions only in exceptional, narrowly defined situations—a decision Trump stated would terminate what he described as a “colossal abuse of power.”

“I was elected with a historic mandate, but in recent months, we’ve witnessed a small number of radical left judges effectively attempting to overrule the legitimate powers of the president to prevent the American people from receiving the policies they voted for in record numbers,” Trump remarked on June 27.

On Tuesday, CBS News’ parent company, Paramount Global, consented to a $16 million settlement with President Trump regarding a lawsuit he initiated in October 2024. This lawsuit originated from a 60 Minutes interview featuring his 2024 election rival, Vice President Kamala Harris.

In the legal case, Trump asserted that CBS manipulated Vice President Harris’s interview by excluding her original, less refined answer to a query regarding why Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not “listening” to the Biden administration.

The funds from the settlement will not be given directly to Trump; rather, they will be designated for his forthcoming presidential library and utilized to pay the legal fees and expenses of the plaintiffs, as reported by Fox.

CBS indicated that the resolution was achieved through mediation and verified that Paramount would not provide an apology as part of the settlement.
