Pam Bondi Fires Jeffrey Epstein Prosecutor

Attorney General Pam Bondi terminated Maurene Comey, a prosecutor from the Southern District of New York who had previously prosecuted the late child sex traffickers Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, as reported by Politico on Wednesday.

Comey, a senior trial attorney, is the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, who was dismissed by President Trump in 2017.

“The rationale behind her termination was not immediately apparent. She did not respond promptly to phone calls and an email requesting comment,” stated Politico. “Comey, who had been employed in the U.S. attorney’s office for nearly ten years, was responsible for prosecuting both Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.”

Maurene Comey’s removal from the Department of Justice occurs amidst an investigation into her father, who posted a picture of seashells arranged on a beach to spell out “86 47.”

Many have suggested that Comey’s use of the term “86” was intended to imply a call for the president’s assassination. The New York Times reported last week that the Secret Service had located the former FBI director following this incident.

James Comey asserts that his post did not carry any malicious intent.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Bondi emphasized that she would continue in her role for as long as President Donald Trump desired, despite facing significant criticism regarding the Justice Department’s management of the Jeffrey Epstein case.

“Madam Attorney General, regarding this issue, it is clearly a priority for both the DEA and the Department of Justice. Are you confident you will remain in this position to address this, given the numerous calls for change within the Department of Justice?” a reporter inquired.

“I will be here for as long as the president wants me to be, and I believe he has made that abundantly clear – it’s four years. Well, three and a half now, right? We are six months in. Yes, it feels like six years,” Bondi replied.

“This morning, I met with [FBI] Director [Kash] Patel, and we are actively engaged in combating violent crime. We are addressing all the issues that we are passionate about to ensure America is safe again and to eliminate these drugs from our streets,” she remarked.

Alan Dershowitz, a former attorney for Epstein, asserted this week that two courts in New York have restricted access to information concerning the infamous financier and convicted sex offender’s case, rather than the Trump administration.

Dershowitz, who facilitated Epstein’s plea deal in 2008, indicated that there is no existing “client list” for Epstein, but rather a redacted FBI affidavit containing accusations.

In an interview on NewsNation with Chris Cuomo, Dershowitz noted that none of the individuals mentioned in the document currently hold public office.

Dershowitz emphasized that he cannot disclose additional information due to court orders, but he stated that Attorney General Pam Bondi and Trump are “not accountable” for the lack of information.

“There is no client list, and there has never been one. A client list implies that Jeffrey Epstein created a list of individuals to whom he trafficked women. What exists is a redacted FBI affidavit from accusers. There are multiple accusers who allege that Jeffrey — and various others — engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct, and the names of those accused have been redacted,” Dershowitz explained.”

As a lawyer who conducted all the investigations, I am aware of the identities of these individuals. Based on my observations, I can deduce who Mr. X, Mr. Y, and Mr. Z are. I can assure you that none of them are public figures currently in office. Some have held office in the past, and some are deceased. However, there is no client list. The redactions could be lifted if one were to go to court,” Dershowitz concluded.

Many of the matters currently being concealed are being suppressed by two judges in Manhattan. Their actions appear to be primarily aimed at safeguarding the alleged accusers, whom the judges regard as victims, despite the uncertainty surrounding their true status. The judges have issued directives that prevent me from revealing information I would otherwise be eager to share, stating that such information cannot be disclosed.

However, it is important to note that Pam Bondi, the Justice Department, and Donald Trump bear no responsibility for this situation. I am not aware of any information they could reveal that has not already been disclosed, he continued.
