Former Miss Universe Finalist Kseniya Alexandrova Dies At 30 After Tragic Elk Accident, As Grieving Husband Shares Details

Kseniya Alexandrova, who once represented her country in the Miss Universe competition, has sadly passed away following a freak accident in which an elk crashed into her husband’s car. The shocking tragedy has left her family, friends, and fans devastated.

On July 5, the 30-year-old model was traveling with her husband on the road between Rzhev and Moscow, a route that takes about three hours by car. While they were driving, a massive elk suddenly leapt out onto the roadway, leaving no time to react.

In the horrifying moment, the animal smashed straight through the windshield of their Porsche Panamera. The impact hit with such force that the airbags failed to deploy since the collision was with the elk’s legs, not the front bumper. Tragically, the strike landed directly on Kseniya’s head, leaving her with critical injuries.

Speaking to the local outlet RIA Novosti, her grieving husband Ilya — whom she had only married in March this year — described the nightmare. He said: “An elk jumped out from somewhere, jumped out in front of the car.”

“From the moment it jumped out until the impact, a split second passed. I did not have time to do anything.”

“The elk flew into the car. The blow hit Ksyusha in the head. She was unconscious, her head was broken, everything was covered in blood.”

“The worst thing is that the frontal bones of the skull were broken. It was clear that there was an open craniocerebral injury.”

Ilya explained that after the crash, his wife immediately fell into a deep coma. Doctors worked tirelessly, and after some time she miraculously regained consciousness, but her condition remained incredibly serious.

He went on to share the heartbreaking reality of her state. Even though she eventually opened her eyes, she could not speak and was kept alive only through life-support machines. The accident had caused damage so severe that her ability to recover was extremely limited.

“One day she suddenly went back into a coma. They diagnosed meningitis, which turned into more severe inflammatory diseases of the brain,” he continued, describing the sudden turn her health took.

“The tests began to deteriorate, and it got to blood sepsis. They were able to restart the heart once… but the next day Kseniya died – they were unable to restart the heart.”

Her passing was later confirmed on Wednesday (August 13) by her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis. In their tribute shared on Instagram, they remembered her as not only beautiful but also ‘extraordinarily bright’ and full of talent, leaving behind a legacy admired by many.

The post from her agency read: “It is with deep sorrow that we announce that our colleague and friend, model Kseniya Alexandrova, passed away last night.”

“Kseniya was bright, talented and extraordinarily bright. She knew how to inspire, support and give warmth to everyone around her. For us she will forever remain a symbol of beauty, kindness and inner strength.”

“We sincerely mourn and express our deepest condolences to her family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Kseniya. A bright memory…”
