JoJo Siwa Surprises Fans By Confirming New Romance With Steamy Selfie
The former Dance Moms star was already known to have formed a very close bond with UK’s Love Island alum, Chris Hughes, during their time living together inside the Celebrity Big Brother house back in April.
At the time, Siwa was still in a relationship with her now-ex, Kath Ebbs. But fans started speculating after she was seen hugging Chris frequently and sharing several affectionate moments. She even admitted publicly that her experience in the house helped her realize a lot about herself — including the revelation that she is ‘not a lesbian’.
Now it looks like the speculation has finally come to an end. The pair have gone public in a big way and seem to be embracing their relationship openly.
Chris Hughes shared a steamy snap on Snapchat that left little doubt. The bedroom photo shows the two snuggled up, with Chris planting a sweet kiss on JoJo’s forehead while they lay together.
Along with the photo, the 32-year-old reality star added a playful caption: “Sleepinnn beauty.”
JoJo, the singer behind the hit song ‘Karma’, had previously denied any romantic connection between them. While appearing on the British morning show This Morning, she had described their bond as simply ‘platonic’.
But things have clearly changed, as this week she opened up to fans about her true feelings. During a recent performance in London, she gave Chris a public shoutout by tweaking the lyrics to Bette Davis’ Eyes, swapping them to say ‘Chris Hughes’ eyes’.
“One of personal biggest frustrations in my life now is that I actually don’t know, I genuinely don’t know, and I’ve spoken to him about it, I’ve spoken to my mom about it, I don’t know the moment that it – It was never like a light switch happened, it was just… you know what I mean? And so I genuinely don’t know! It’s serendipity!”
She also hinted that although she’s not planning to relocate permanently just yet, she could see herself possibly moving countries someday. For now, she’ll be splitting her time between the US and the UK to balance both her personal life and career.
She also shared a sweet story during her interview on Sunday Brunch, where she explained how well her family has embraced Chris. Apparently, Chris flew all the way to the US to surprise her for her birthday — a gesture that clearly meant a lot.
“My parents think the absolute world of him, and him and my Dad are like best friends, Chris was actually telling me this yesterday, they went to the spa together yesterday.”
“Honestly, it makes me happy to have everybody act as… it feels like we’re a family, it feels like he’s been in my family for how ever many years it feels like forever.”
“He gets along as well as I do. I think he loves me because of my parents!”
