‘Squad’ Rep. Under Fire for ‘Disgusting’ Comments
Another member of the notorious “Squad” in the House of Representatives finds herself in serious trouble due to some quite appalling remarks made in a recent social media post regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) labeled the agency as a “terrorist force” during comments made on Wednesday.
While engaging in an interview with Brianna Keilar on “CNN News Central,” Jayapal elaborated on her remarks from an Instagram post with the anchor. The post stated, “ICE is behaving like a terrorist force. Individuals across the nation, regardless of their legal status — including U.S. citizens — are being abducted and vanished from the streets by masked individuals. There is no oversight, no accountability. It is entirely lawless.”
Keilar subsequently inquired if Jayapal would like to respond to a statement issued by White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson.
Jackson’s statement asserted, “Jayapal’s abhorrent comments necessitate an immediate apology. Courageous ICE officers are merely fulfilling their duties and enforcing federal immigration law with the highest level of professionalism.”
“Dangerous slurs from unhinged leftists like Jayapal incite their followers to violently confront and hinder federal law enforcement. Due to remarks such as Jayapal’s, assaults on ICE agents have surged by 500% this year. That figure is likely to rise even further if Jayapal continues her defamatory statements,” Jackson added.
As reported by Fox News, Jayapal replied by stating, “What is truly deranged, cruel, and outrageous is that we are witnessing individuals who claim to be ICE agents. They assert they are. However, they lack any form of identification. They are masked and dressed in plain clothes. They are coming to abduct and make people disappear from the streets of the United States.”]} }}
“I never imagined in a million years that I would witness such a thing here in America,” stated the liberal Democrat. “Therefore, I believe it is the administration that must apologize to U.S. citizens who have been rounded up, including legal permanent residents and individuals with legal statuses throughout the nation who are being swept away, individuals who have resided here for 20 years without committing any crimes, being taken by masked individuals who are abducting and deporting them.”
She subsequently described ICE’s enforcement of immigration laws as “outrageous,” “unconstitutional,” and “illegal.” Indeed, you read that correctly. According to the astute perspective of Rep. Jayapal, enforcing the law has now become illegal. This, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the individuals whom Democrats claim represents the promising future of their party.
If this is indeed the case, the left may never secure a significant electoral victory again.
“It is absolutely instilling fear in people, including small business owners and farmers,” Jayapal commented during the interview. “The roundtable I held in Spokane included members from the Growers League, farmers who are frightened, restaurant proprietors who are experiencing declining sales because patrons are reluctant to dine out. Literally. People are so fearful, Brianna. It is something I never anticipated witnessing in the United States of America. The White House owes an apology to the American populace for their actions.”
Tom Homan, President Donald Trump’s border czar, appeared on “The Will Cain Show” where he criticized a new application called ICEBlock that is currently being utilized to monitor ICE agents and assist in alerting illegal aliens about their locations.
“Attacks against ICE have surged by over 500%,” Homan elaborated on the program. “Now there is an app that will indicate where ICE operations are occurring. It is only a matter of time before ICE agents are ambushed by some lunatic, similar to the incident in L.A., where they were assaulted with cocktails and bricks. This is simply disgraceful.
