NEW: Tom Homan Reveals Jaw-Dropping Details On Raid That Set Off Riots: ‘Larger Investigation’
White House border czar Tom Homan provided new insights regarding the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids that triggered organized leftist assaults on federal agents and several days of unrest in Los Angeles.
In spite of the misinformation propagated by California Governor Gavin Newsom and other state officials, many of whom have asserted that the violence only commenced after President Donald Trump dispatched National Guard troops, the turmoil actually began on Friday when federal agents faced persistent attacks while executing operations in the city’s fashion district.
The agents found themselves trapped in a federal building as members of the mob assaulted them with rocks, clubs, hammers, and fireworks. The situation intensified on Saturday, when agents were nearly harmed by rioters hurling large stones at moving vehicles.
During a recent segment on “Dr. Phil Primetime,” Homan revealed additional information about the raid that instigated the ongoing unrest, which is now spreading across the nation.
“This warehouse and retail outlet that you executed warrants on, the belief is and the evidence indicates that this is a business linked to a cartel operating here in the United States. The $80 million in question is suspected of being undervalued, along with the double-digit millions in tariffs that they are anticipated to be charged with for income tax evasion,” Dr. Phil initiated the discussion.
“You believe that all of that is for, is benefiting an illegal cartel, a cartel in Mexico or Colombia, do you know which cartel?”
Homan declined to disclose specifics about the particular cartel involved, although he acknowledged that the raid was part of a broader investigation. “No, it’s a larger investigation, and this company is one of many that we’re examining and collecting evidence on, as much of the money in this sector is laundered to Colombia and Mexico to support cartel operations,” the White House border czar clarified.
“We are also addressing tax evasion and customs fraud. A significant portion of ICE’s responsibilities pertains to customs laws and enforcement,” he elaborated. “This is merely one aspect of a broader investigation we are conducting. As we accumulate further evidence, we will determine the appropriate course of action for criminal prosecution.”
On Friday night, federal agents apprehended 45 undocumented immigrants during at least seven operations throughout Los Angeles. Among those detained was a Mexican national with prior convictions for homicide and burglary, in addition to having returned after a previous deportation.
Mab Khleb, 53, originally from Cambodia, possesses a criminal record that includes a conviction for the transportation of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, lewd acts with a minor, and battery, as reported by Fox 11 Los Angeles. Other individuals arrested had prior convictions for offenses such as rape, drug trafficking, amphetamine production, human smuggling, and child sexual crimes.
